This Disastershock Manual is intended to help families and communities to cope with disastershock. Part I describes ten effective methods to be used to reduce stress. Part 2 describes stress reduction methods to be used with children. Although Part 2 was written primarily for parents, teachers and other adults working with children will find it useful. Most of the approaches described in this manual are evidence-based. That is, they are based on extensive research demonstrating their effectiveness in helping children and adults. |
Response to CommunitiesConsultation and resources have been provided to multiple communities in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.
